Thought miracles
by Rebeckh Burns & Peter van der Fluit

A simple n positive book on utilising thoughts n affirmations to radiate confidence, draw abundance n prosperity, reduce stress n develop inner calm.

L O V E

Spirituality relates to the highest journey of humankind's growth n awareness. It encompasses discovering your true self-reality, the supreme power n intelligence that lives in deeper parts of our minds, making contact wif tis power , invoking it to bring it into all aspects of life to express success, happiness n completion within, developing intuition n being able to create lives the way we want it to be.

Love is all there is (n ultimate) n fear is the flip side. Fear is an energy tat kills, destroys, hurts, starves n darkens. It brings frustration n confusion, fills us wif distrust, brings doubt, jails n weakens us. Love sets us free, brings hope n strength, fills us wif trust in ourselves n the universe, n lets us become who we are.

Many of us hav battles wif fear due to conditioning. We are taught to live wif fear. Negative, fear-provoking tots n statements makes it hard to choose love as our motivater. The way to 're-condition' ourselves is via affirmations to re-educate ourselves to use love as our motivater (like: i work hard coz i love my job, not coz i fear i can't earn enuff to pay my bills).

We experience fear when we enter a relationship for the 'wrong' reasons. If we depend on our partner to make us complete, the relationship would turn into a fear-based one when we find out how dependent we are. There shld b no hidden agendas. The 'other half' is commonly used to refer to a partner, implying ppl r onli haf a person w/o them, but it's far from truth. We hav to fulfill all aspects of our needs n b a complete person b4 we can giv love. It is unreasonable to expect ur partner to fill up the gap to 'complete' u. True love stems from giving n not demanding / expecting.

Going against the grain of who u r is going against the grain of life itself. We can onli go against the grain for tat long b4 the life's alarm bell sounds. Mid-life crisis, brealdown, illness - these signal a need for attention to who we r. Relationships r constructive, even the worst is not a failure. It served the purpose of bringing us closer to who we r. When we know who we are n can share tis completeness wif others, we can hav the perfect relationship. Focus inwardly, do things tat make ur life happy n fulfilled. Find ur inner peace, change ur tots n actions to mirror a positive outlook on life.

Unconditional love has no necessity for want or need, to take or manipulate. It willingly gives, accepts, trusts n encourages. When we choose love, we forgive. When we choose fear, we blame. Choosing love, we trust. Choosing fear, we doubt.

C O N F I D E N C E

I m confident. Do u feel it? Do u trust urself implicitly or do u doubt n question ur every move? Confidence is our own personal engine room - our inner strength. It is wif inner power tat we accomplish greatness. All of us hav abundance of inner strength, juz whether it is tapped.

Fear is the biggest confidence-killer. Insecurities r always born of fear. Confidence is an extension of self-love. Love ourself means to hav absolute trust in our abilities. It is tis total trust n faith tat gives us confidence to reali live our lives.

Taking responsibility is an impt way to build your self-confidence. Accept responsibilty for ur tots n actions, it is up to u to realise ur dreams n hopes tru actions. The biggest trap is to blame situations or others. Tis way, u r allowing someone's actions or situations beyond ur control to victimise u. Look for external power n u r always controlled by it. Nurture n love ur inner power n u r safe.

Finding out wad u truely want to do n who u reali r is an impt aspect of developing a strong self-confidence. We compromise ourselves tru fear. Tru love, we truely find ourselves. Live outside ur boundaries n limitations, conquer ur fear, work on urself, develop ur skills. Establish a set of morals n principles tat u can live by, become ur own ruler in your own skin n feel proud of wad n who u r. Beware of negative ppl who hav little or no self-confidence. They will try to undermine u to make themselves feel better abt who they r. They're highly toxic, limit ur time wif them.

P R O S P E R I T Y

An attitude of expecting only the best, being open to new ideas, never accepting financial defeat, having the utmost faith in ur self n the universe as great providers. We muz begin by thinkin abundantly. When most of us think of prosperity we automatically think of treasure, treasure in the form of glod, jewels n other earthly delights. Tis way, we set ourselves up to live in fear of scarcity, b'coz deep down we know tat earthly treasure can always b taken away from us. Instead, we shld think of it as treasures of the heart. The treasure u hold in ur heart is worth more in terms of true prosperity than tat which u hold in ur hand. A heart full of luv, gd-ness, courage n forgiveness will get u anywhere u wish to go in life. The great thing abt them is tat they aren't confined to walls of a bank n r freely available for all. There's nothing called global recession of the heart. All u nid is to open ur heart to accepting these treasures. Once filled, ur life will b truely prosperous.

True prosperity is:

-not how much u hav, but how content u r wif all u hav.
-a state of mind in which u r satisfied wif wad u hav, even thou u dream of having more.
-giving thanks for wad u already possess n not being ungrateful for wad u dun.
-having a peace of mind.
-chooosing love from fear.
-being able to forgiv, clearing the mind of hate n anger in so doing.
-being open-minded, having the ability to see all sides of the story, n not being judgemental.
-being who u r, not trying to pls everyone else b4 urself.
-being able to think abundantly, to know tat u hav an endless supply of creative energy - more than enuff to tackle anything life throws at u.
-knowing u hav ur talents n gifts to share wif the world
-having lasting frens rather than business contacts.
-loving yourself.

True prosperity has little to do wif financial gain. In fact, it's all abt spiritual gain.

Being 'who we r', knowing 'who we r', accepting 'who we r' n loving 'who we r'. Many of us live our lives the wrong way around. B'coz of our insecurities due to lack of love, confidence n prosperity, we try to bolster ourselves wif money n possessions so as to feel happier / more successful. The way it works is actuali the reverse. U muz 1st be who u reali r, then do wad u need to do in order to hav wad u want.

In persuing prosperity, if it doesn't work at 1st, keep the faith n realise tat any seemingly negative trend is a transitional stage to a more positive trend in ur life. Ppl gain much knowledge tru their failings.

S T R E S S F R E E

The key here is simplification: achieve one thing at a time n u r on the road to greatness. Do one thing properly. Dun get bogged down by a multitude of things. Learn how to delegate things tat r reali unnecessary for u to deal wif.

Living in the 'now' is an extension of simplification. Deal wif the now, dun take on the past, present n future all at once. The onli thing u can truely control is the now. Sometimes, we hold on to past hurts n keep them inside, building up anger n resentment. Juz let go, xpress how u truely feel. This will help u to live in the moment n release any pent-up energy tat u r storing in ur body. If u r feeling anger, resentment, bitterness or depression, remember tat these r all emotions n feelings tat hav built up tru negative thinking n perpetuate negative tot.

Stop worrying abt past problems or future possibilities. Saying yes to things u know u can't achieve, or dun want to achieve, is not being honest wif urself n others. Tis is a tough one. However, it offers us the chance to learn some of our most impt lessons: who we r n wad our boundaries n limitations r.

Learn to say yes to ur heart n no to ur head.

1 of our biggest causes of stress is the fear of change n challenges. We b'come uncomfortable in our ever-decreasing comfort zones n fear tat which exists outside. The advice: it's far less stressful confronting ur fears than it is living in fear.

By letting go, not taking life's more difficult n testing situations too intensely, we can then slowly be stress free. Act on things u can control, dun fret on those u can't. Listen to ur heart n soul, listen to their yearnings n follow them. Tis is the true way tat u r ever going to feel totally fulfilled n at peace. One of the most impt things abt thinking positively n practising affirmations is the effect tat tis will hav on ur physical n mental well-being.

Finding inner peace is oso abt having an attitude of moderation. If u r moderate in ur behaviour u will not hav big highs n lows. If u learn to live in moderation, tis boom-then-bust cycle will no longer be part of ur life. Once u learn the art of balance n moderation, u will feel more in harmony, at peace n stress free.

The power of affirmations aligns the spirit, the imagery of visualizations strengthens n colours the words n tots. Combined wif clarity n focus gained tru meditation practices, it'll send u off to a new state of bliss.

Kokology - the game of self-discovery
by Tadahiko Nagao & Isamu Saito

Created by a famous japanese psychologist, kokology is the study of kokoro (mind or spirit in jap). Based on psychological principles, it asks u to answer questions abt seemingly innocent topics n reveals wad they may say on u. Its a unique n witty approach to self-discovery.

The precious present
by Spencer Johnson.

A simple parable book, nothing extraordinary abt it, juz a simple story reminding us of the one precious present we hav n how many hav failed to realised wad they needed to b happy is already wif them.
One gd book tat may keep u from being carried away by persuits of tangible wealth, success n achievement.

The way of the desert & The way of the sea
by Timothy Freke,

and Loving thoughts for loving yourself
by Louise L. Hay.

The 1st two are pretty abstract, drawing on exerpts from islamic, christian and judaism teachings to illustrate the "way" of the desert and sea. Essentially shows how the desert and sea presents a constant source of inspiration for religious persuits by believers. Rather 'cheem'.

The 3rd book is basically one of positive affirmations, written to help us replace negative thoughts that form in our minds ever-so-often, preventing us from being truely open in hearts to ourselves and others. Really thought-provoking how the short statements of positive affirmations can struck so clearly why people aren't loving themselves and others as their soul truely would have wanted. Points out some obvious obstacles to love (of all sorts) such as fear (of hurt, failure etc), which often go unspotted by people. Another book worth keeping.

Some book of quotes on personal achievements n success
by duno who

Essentially a book wif punchy quotes tat has some real gd advice for general guidance on how to prepare urself for opening ur heart n mind, taking risks, rallying ur aptitude for hardwork, picking urself up from failure n loss, gaining a positive attitude & working towards success. Burp ~ !!!

Life was never meant to be a struggle
by Stuart Wilde.

Real juicy read.

In essence, a good book that describes life's struggles as bits of unnatural battles we constantly engage in due to our imbalances and instabilities in many areas in our life.

Struggle is juz an opinion, a choice, a perspective that one regards of a certain circumstance. I liked the way it describes people as having 2 main selves --- the inner (or higher) self and the outer (or ego) self. Often, struggles result from a conflict between the 2 selves. The former is our true self, the latter is variable and impermanent. Its surprising how many are living in the ego self.

By choosing to stay in a non-confrontive mode to first, yourself, and second, the rest of the world around you, things will flow and struggles dissipate. Quite enriching and humbling to read. I am still novice to this subject called life.

The ten secrets of abundant love
by Adam Jackson

The Power Of Thought

Love begins with our thoughts. We become what we think about. Loving thoughts create loving experiences and loving relationships. Affirmations can change our beliefs and thoughts about ourselves and others. If we want to love someone, we need to consider their needs and desires. Thinking about your ideal partner will help you recognize her when you meet her.

The Power Of Respect

You cannot love anyone or anything unless you first respect them. The first person you need to respect is yourself. To begin to gain self-respect ask yourself, "What do I respect about myself?" To gainrespect for others, even those you may dislike, ask yourself "What do I respect about them?"

The Power Of Giving

If you want to receive love, all you have to do is give it! The more love you give, the more you will receive. To love is to give of yourself, freely and unconditionally.
Practice random acts of kindness. Before committing to a relationship ask not what the other person will be able to give to you, but rather what will you be able to give them. The secret formula of a happy, life long, loving relationship is to always focus on what you can give instead of whatyou can take.

The Power Of Friendship.

To find a true love, you must first find a true friend. Love does not consist of gazing into each other's eyes, but rather looking outwardtogether in the same direction. To love someone completely you must love them for who they are, not what they look like. Friendship is the soil through which love's seeds grow. If you want to bring love into a relationship, you must first bring friendship.

The Power Of Touch.

Touch is one of the most powerful expressions of love, breaking down barriers and bonding relationships. Touch changes our physical and emotional states and makes us more receptive to love.

The Power Of Letting Go.

If you love something, let it free. If it comes back to you it's yours, if it doesn't
it never was. Even in a loving relationship, people need their own space. If we
want to learn to love, we must first learn to forgive and let go of past hurts, and
grievances. Lovemeans letting go of our fears, prejudices, egos and conditions.
"Today I let go of all my fears, the past has no power over me - today is the
beginning of a new life."

The Power Of Communication.

When we learn to communicate openly and honestly, life changes. To love someone is to communicate with them. Let the people youlove know that you love them and appreciate them. Never be afraid to saythose three magic words: "I Love You." Never let an opportunity pass to praise someone. Always leave someone you love with a loving wordit could be the last time you see them. If you were about to die but could make telephone calls to the people you loved, who would you call, what would you say and ... why are you waiting?

The Power Of Commitment.

If you want to have love in abundance, you must be committed to it, and that
commmitment will be reflected in your thoughts and actions. Commitment is the true test of love. If you want to have loving relationships, you must be committed toloving relationships. When you are committed to someone or something, quitting is never an option. Commitment distinguishes a fragile relationships from a strong one.

The Power Of Passion.

Passion ignites love and keeps it alive.Lasting passion does not come through
physical attraction alone, it comes from deep commitment, enthusiasm, interest
and excitement. Passion can be recreated byrecreating past experiences when you felt passionate. Spontaneity and surprises produce passion. The essence of love and happiness arethe same; all we need to do is to live each day with passion.

The Power Of Trust

Trust is essential in all loving relationships. Without it one person becomes suspicious, anxious and fearful and the other person feelstrapped and emotionally suffocated. You cannot love someone completely unless you trust them completely. Act as if your relationship with theperson you love will never end. One of the ways you can tell whether a person is right for you is to ask yourself, "Do I trust them completely and unreservedly?" If the answer is "no", think carefully before making a commitment.
